This pilot project, bringing young people from the entire fur value chain together, aims not only at promoting youth participation and involvement in the fur sector but also at identifying and empowering entrepreneurship for young people in Europe. Via this pilot, Fur Europe will test a new concept of a pan-European youth flagship programme around the creative aspects of fur. The aim will be to raise awareness and educate participants about fur as a material and to stimulate the creativity of participants resulting in tangible outcomes such as alliances or new business models.
The educational program will combine both theoretical and practical exercises and visits to fur-related facilities. It is a unique opportunity that will combine creativity, inspiration and fun.
The entire event will be conducted in English with activities that ensure a unique experience. Learning does not stop when lessons finish – activities, excursions and socialising during meals and free time will mean the participants really get to know each other and their surroundings.
Fur Europe are still accepting applications for the workshop and anyone interested should email [email protected]. Applicants must be 18-30 years old, fluent in English and come from a European country that is in the scope of Fur Europe’s activities. Participants will have to cover their own transportation to Thessaloniki. Fur Europe and Hellenic Fur Federation will cover the accommodation, lunches, educational materials etc.
Applicants must fill an expression of interest-form, which will be supplied by Fur Europe, and provide a curriculum vitae (max two pages). The deadline for submitting the expression of interest is 14 June. The final participants will be chosen by the organizer in following period.
