This year Shanghai fashion Week awarded Kopenhagen Fur with the best show for their use of traditional Viking regalia. The show was inspired by the heritage of the designer Jim Lyngvild who traced his roots to Vikings. Complete with swordfights, goblets of wine and a dinner fit for kings, the gladiator models wore gorgeous Nordic furs embellished with skull pendants, gold chains, gauntlets and jewelled crowns.
Kopenhagen Fur and Jim Lyngvild paired up for the great event in April 2016. Shanghai Fashion Week is sponsored by Shanghai Textile Group in China. The event is part of the Shanghai International Fashion Culture Festival.

Fur skins from Kopenhagen Fur has the best quality in the world, but this has to be shown to the world because everybody claims that their own fur is the best. I want to show that Denmark makes the best fur in the world. We have always done it. It is part of our culture, says the fashion expert.”
