Rumours are that he’s not rich despite the Lamborghini Aventador, the Rolls-Royce Wraith and residences in Cannes, Lugano, and Manhattan. His doctor father gave him a €10,000 loan to build a simple interior design piece betwixt luxury product. He earned €3-4 million within a few short years.
Interviewed by Nick Remsen in the Financial Times, Plein said, “I had these two ideas that helped me to realise what I needed to do to make money; I needed to sell things that were different, not comparable, to the rest of the market. If I didn’t, I’d look like a wannabe.”
