Eurasia Remix 2016 International Fur Design Competition
On November 10, 2016, the final of the 3rd International Competition of Young Fur Designers Remix-Eurasia 2016, organised by the Russian Fur-Fur Union with the support of the International Fur Federation (IFF), was held at the Susor Palace in St. Petersburg, in which representatives From Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Belarus and Uzbekistan.
The contest was held in 2 stages:
At the first stage the jury determined finalists on sketches, at the second stage the results of the contest on finished products were summed up and the winners of the contest were determined.
The jury of the contest was represented by:
- 1. Sergei Stolbov – Chairman of the Board of the Eurasia Region of the International Fur Federation. Chairman of the jury.
- 2. Victoria Kusenkova – Creative Director of the Fashion House Kussenkovv
- 3. Sergey Efremov – designer of the Fashion House “Sergey Efremov”
- 4. Igor Gulyaev – designer of the Fashion House “Igor Gulyaev”
- 5. Alexander Petrov – designer of the Fashion House “Alexander Petrov”
- 6. Oksana Moroz – Marketing Director, NAFA Eastern Europe
- 7. Casper Scott Reinbacher – vice president, auction sales department of Kopenhagen Fur
- 8. Alexei Plekhanov – Deputy General Director of the auction company Soyuzpushnina
The winners were:
- 1 place: Burak Dahan (Turkey)
Prize – internship in the design studio NAFA (Canada)
- 2 place: Yerhat Maksutov (Kazakhstan)
Prize – an internship in the design studio Saga Furs (Finland)
- 3 place: Liliya Nigmatyanova (Uzbekistan)
Prize – internship in the design studio Kopenhagen Fur (Denmark).
In the framework of the final of the competition, numerous spectators were shown collections of leading fur companies: Fashion House “Igor Gulyaev”, Fashion House Kussenkovv and Fashion House Alexandr Petrov.

The companies “Furs Ekaterina“, “Madame Matyush”, “Leon Elite”, “Felida”, Alexandr Petrov, “Melita”, American Legend auction assisted in tailoring products for the finalists of the contest.
In the final of the Remix-Eurasia contest, the products of the winners of Remix-Asia 2016 contest took part as guests.
