Fashion Week 2016
London fashion week brings with it that “anything can happen” ambiance. The first three days have already shown us impeccable levels of creativity and precision. Fur has been used in a number of innovative ways in many collections and below are some of our favourites from the past few days.
Eudon Choi
Eudon Choi’s collection portrayed perfect silhouettes, from ankle slit trousers to blouses. Choi’s use of footwear for his collection was particularly distinctive, models were donning carmel coloured shoes with fur toe and heel trims, adding a brilliant twist to the collection.
Paul Costelloe
Paul Costelloes collection was dominated by strong and flirty looks, reds and blacks seemed to lead and various textures were present throughout. Portrait fur collars on dresses were a common trend and added that evident touch of glamour to the garments.
Mimi Wade
Mimi Wade’s collection was quirky to say the least. It seems she gets her inspiration from old Hollywood visuals. Her lace trimmed dresses and hand painted comic book prints were completed with fur collars and fur cuffs, giving her collection that extra edgy appeal.
Alexander McQueen
The Alexander McQueen collection fabricated the dreamlike, the subconscious and the earthier ambiance on the runway. With softer prints but edgier textures, the collection was evidently a beautiful contrast.
Anya Hindmarch
Anya Hindmarch always finds an ingenious way to get our attention with her playful and unpredictable designs. Hindmarch’s collection surely did not disappoint, the patterns, textures and colours all came together to build a quirky collection.
