Asia Remix 2017 – ASIA fur design competition goes onstage in Taipei. The leading international event connects the entire fashion community worldwide and recognises Taiwan as a potential fashion hub.

The international event, ‘Asia Fur Design Competition –  Asia Remix 2017 Grand Final’ was a runway show and a competition held during the ‘Taipei In-Style Fashion Week’  in Taipei, Taiwan on 17 November 2017. The remarkable 13 finalists from China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and Taiwan were selected from 6000 entries submitted by international participants.

The main prize winner of the evening was Lui Chun Chen entry from Japan who took The Grand Prize of Female Category. Liu also received the highest score across all categories. This automatically qualifies Lui to compete in the grand Remix global competition taking place in Milan on February 25th, 2018 with the support of Vogue Talent.

Linda Yang, Taiwanese jewelry designer, and Alexander King Chen, Taiwan celebrity fashion designer were invited to present their new collections with new fur design ideas in the event. The tailor-made jewelry and fashion designed by Linda Yang showcased how soft fleece can feature the effortless chic of Parisian style in the winter.  Alexander King Chen’s “Am I awake” collection dedicated to “a story of war, vengeance, jealousy, hate and finally love “in striking ways. The audience was enthralled by his stunning presentation.

Numerous exclusive guests including politicians, businessmen and celebrities showed up to this big event.  They included Yang Shi Jian , the Former Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Miao Feng Lian, the CEO of the MiTAC-SYNNEX, and his wife Yang Chuan Fang, Chen Wan Ruo, Managing Director of EeLin, Super model Shiau Yao, Artist Wu Tung-Lung and Li Chi, Stylist Eddy Lee and file director and actor Hans Zhang. Top photographer Shing-I Chen appeared on the runway with Alexander King Chen collection. These creative and talented brother and sister attracted wide attention.

Asia Remix is a regional annual competition held in Asia hosted by International Fur Federation (IFF), the world’s leading fur authority. The competition gives an opportunity to the up-and-coming design talents to showcase their innovative designs. It connects top raising designers with the Prestigious and influential jury from the fashion community including jury member Ms. Anupreet Bhui, Senior Editor of Global Street Style at WGSN, the world leading trend’s authority.

Kelly Xu, IFF Asia CEO, expressed that ‘People in Taiwan knows how to dress in a trendy and stylish way. The designs feature story-telling and historical background. It is a mature market which pays attention to the nature and environmental friendliness. A large pool of design talents in the country is well known across the world’.

In today’s event, the fur designs from top local fashion and jewelry designers were showcased. It has become an art performance tuning into all our senses. Taiwan had been chosen to hold this international event. The Taiwanese representative Tang Chun-Hsiang won ‘the Best Design of Male Category’. It is a recognition of Taiwan’s talents and potential as an international fashion hub.
